Three of the issues discussed in our class that I need to change in my pedagogy.

One of issues we have seen  when we are teaching using  technology in class  is that technology alone does not improve education, it is  just a tool, it is necessary to connect pedagogy with technology. Use of technology in lessons works if its use is well planned. Teachers often using technology in classroom with no propose. Poor use of technology can lead to a simply reply of teacher centered learning and it is very time consuming, students will be bored. We have to think the purpuse that tool help to encourage  them, not just using freely  without an objective, we should give them  a little more, the chance to producing their own material(be prosumers), promote debate, explore language, think about the content(critial thinking) , to collaborate with each other, etc.


The resistence of parents and schools is one of issue that we have to consider. Parents usually  choose privacity and think of students play games all the times and there isn’t benefits. In this case, we might showing parents results, the process, what students gained and convince them using student’s results, for example, showing a video producing by student or a blog. Some tools are fictional, they can be used to preserving the identity, it’s not necessary create account and log in, it simules the real page and permit them to learn about privacity.


Classroom management is become more important to garantee that students pay attention and they aren’t get on a website, or use the technology just to have fun. They need your guidance. You must control the technology so that learners can achieve. So encourage them to work in pairs is the way to engage them without autoritarism. We have to think about use one device per group, it forces the collaboration and reduce distraction. With this new devices teacher give to students differents things to do and he can monitor more easy.Another thing we have to think of is backchanneling, the idea of some activities place in background, We can see if students actually pay attention what is talked about.It coud be using “todaysmeet” or “socrative.com”.
